Linda Howard Bittner - Biography |
Linda Howard Bittner is forever trying to capture the charm and character of our natural world. She has been a professional commercial artist for over 18 years. Her works have graced many products including greeting cards, giftware, children`s books, toys, games-puzzles and interactive exhibits. Clients have included: National Geographic Books, Playskool, Scholastic, Golden Books, Oxford University Press, Hallmark cards, American Greetings, International Playthings, numerous zoos and museums and Bass Pro Shops. Linda achieved a BFA degree in Illustration at the Columbus College of Art & Design in central Ohio. Her travels have taken her throughout the United States and around the world-gathering experience and insight along the way. Many of her trips have involved hands-on work with wildlife, conservation efforts and humanitarian work as well.International travel has included: South Africa, Guatemala,the Amazon interior, Mexico, Canada, England, Germany and various islands throughout the Caribbean. Linda is now embracing the fine art world and continues to use her creative skills to educate the public about wildlife and conservation. Ms Bittner is also a member of the US International Muzzle Loading Team, the National Muzzle Loading Assoc. and the North-South Skirmish Assoc.-all organizations that celebrate the history and shooting of antique firearms in target competition. This sport has enabled her to travel and meet many people from around the world and throughout the United States who have similar interests in nature, shooting sports and wildlife conservation.
